There are fewer things than I love more than sushi! It’s one of my favorite things to get for lunch or an early dinner, and honestly I could eat it any time of the day. Even better that there is a whole day dedicated to this delicious food, and I can’t wait to celebrate it.
This year, International Sushi Day falls on June 18th, and I plan on celebrating with Sapporo beer. For me Sapporo has been the perfect match for sushi and beer whenever I go out to eat. It’s got a mild and crisp taste which complements the sushi perfectly! I always make sure to order a Sapporo (a true Japanese tradition) whenever I’m getting sushi.
While I do love going out to eat; one of my favorite ways to enjoy sushi is in the comfort of my home. I love to order takeout, get home and comfortable, and then I break out the sushi and Sapporo. I usually order my sushi takeout from one of my favorite sushi joints not too far from home, and will pick up a 6 pack of Sapporo from the grocery store.
This is how I plan on celebrating this year, with the perfect at home sushi kit. All you need to do is pick up these items to have the perfect sushi night at home:
- Order sushi takeout from your favorite sushi restaurant
- Make sure you have enough soy sauce and sauces at home
- Chopsticks
- and of course, Sapporo Beer
