In this day and age we have become so busy. Constantly moving (going to work, running errands, hanging out with friends, caring for family) that we often forget that we need to take a moment just to ourselves and RELAX! I don’t get to take one often, but definitely would like to start making a tradition of taking one about every 3 months. Check out my review on my Staycation at West Hollywood’s Grafton Hotel.
A few weekends ago, I lucked up and was offered a one night stay at the Grafton Hotel. Prior to this I had never really experienced WeHo so of course I jumped at the opportunity. I do have to say that I really enjoyed my stay. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel located on the Sunset Strip; right next to some of the best nightclubs and places to dine that the Strip has to offer. The inside of the hotel is beautiful. It’s decorated modern style, but edgy. They have a pretty nice bar that’s in the shape of a guitar, and also a restaurant Oliver’s Prime Steakhouse that has wood, leather, and metal decor.
Now on to the rooms, which was my favorite part of this hotel besides the pool. I stayed in a pool side room which made me feel like a star. My room was edgy. Animal print, leather seating, and a huge colorful photo that made the room feel so chic.
The best part of this hotel is the pool though! It’s a salt water heated pool that was great for swimming during the day, but even better at night. I loved that my room had a door that led me to the pool, and a little patio/eating area right outside of it. Perfect for an outdoor brunch for two, and then a swim.
I really enjoyed taking time away from everything even though it was just for one night. It was a great recharge that my boyfriend and I absolutely needed. Staycations are a must in my opinion. They are a less expensive alternative to going on a full fledged vacation, but offer the same benefits as one. Have you ever gone a staycation? What types of places do you look to stay at when you go on one? Comment below and thanks for reading! 🙂 xx

August 10, 2015Staycations in LA were my favorite thing to do when I lived down there. Get a hotel, have a nice dinner, hit up a concert or two along the strip and stumble back to the hotel.

August 13, 2015I think everyone should take a trip to Hollywood just to see what it’s like. It’s way different living here though, lol. And yes an overnight vacation is great for resetting!
