One year ago, I moved out of my apartment in Atlanta… and began a new job that required me to travel full time around the United States. I had just graduated from college a few month’s earlier, and I had spent most of the summer contemplating what my next move was going to be post college. Taking the traveling job was a leap of faith, but I am SO GLAD that I did it. Why? you ask… well because I learned one important huge life lesson. Never be afraid to embark on a new journey when the opportunity presents itself. Fear keeps us from realizing/fulfilling our full potential. Through traveling and meeting other people my love for food (which I kept dormant because I was more focused on graduating, getting a good job, making my parents proud, etc) grew and grew till I was forced to find an outlet to express it.. flash forward to the creation of ev’s eats!
This post wasn’t intended to be a preachy session, but visiting Atlanta after leaving on faith just 1 year ago really made me realize how lucky and blessed I truly am. I’m extremely proud of the hard work that I have put into developing my passions, and although this is just the beginning I can’t help but to have a mini-celebration of my accomplishments so far (no matter how small they are). My trip back also motivated me to keep on grinding and pushing for the top, and that’s exactly what I plan to do. For all those out there who are pushing for your dreams, you can do it! Don’t let fear stop you, and most importantly never give up!
Check out some pictures from my trip! Atlanta has some great street art (I love east Atlanta and Candler Park ) and the new Ponce City Market is finally open, and it is an absolutely beautiful market! Reminds me almost of Grand Central Market in New York!
Cheers!
