I’m loving that I get to work in what is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in L.A, West Third/The Grove. It’s such a beautiful and bright section of L.A. with a lot of restaurants and shops, including The Original Farmer’s Market. I’ve now made it a quest to sample at least 1 restaurant once a week. There’s a lot of eating in my future, lol.
When I found out that Belcampo Meat Co. was opening a location in West Third, I was super excited. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the quality of their meat and ingredients, and that is something that is really becoming important to me. While I love to eat and will pretty much eat anything; I am starting to pay more attention to the foods that I put in my body and where they come from.
One of Belcampo’s slogan is “Back to the basics. Anything but ordinary“, and this is something that couldn’t be further from the truth. They are a farm, processing plant, butcher shop, and a restaurant. To me this means that when I’m eating my burger not only is it going to taste amazing (which it did), but I can trust that the meat is coming from a good place.Their menu at the Third Street location is great! It was simple to read, and didn’t have too many options (I really dislike when restaurants have what seems like a never ending menu). I ordered the Belcampo Burger while my boyfriend ordered the Fastburger, and we split their delicious Tallow fries. We also enjoyed a couple ginger beers on the side too… ginger beer goes great with burgers by the way. Who would’ve known? lol The Belcampo Burger was DELCIOUS! Not only could I taste the freshness in the ingredients, but they all married well with the meat. I of course added bacon to my burger, and it was very good quality bacon. I was impressed! The bun was freshly toasted, and it tasted like it came straight from the bakery. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a burger that tasted this good.I also noticed that they offered fresh ready to go meals. There were some really good looking salads that I probably will stop by and try in the near future.
I’m already dreaming of my next burger from here! The manager Ellen Christen really made my experience awesome. The decor in the restaurant is beautiful and the whole dine in experience was great. If you live in L.A. this is a burger joint you for sure have to check out. And even if you don’t, it’s a spot that definitely needs to make your list of places to eat in L.A.

September 14, 2015This looks like a nice place, too bad I don’t leave in L.A. And I agreed with you; I very much dislike a restaurant with a looooong menu
