Hey Everyone! I’ve got a quick bargain going on this week and it’s from Grocery Outlet Wine Sale!
For the next 7 days, all their wine is an extra 20% off!! This is such a great deal because Grocery Outlet already has wine at bargain prices! I went to check it out and I got about 8 bottles of wine for around $30.00. If I had gone today when the sale started with the extra 20 % off ; I would’ve paid around $24. How awesome is that?
I thought I’d share with you guys what wines I got. I’ve already used a few of them in a few recipes!
Red Wine
- Chateau Julian Merlot- raspberry notes, medium body, silky tannis and smooth finish. Pairs nicely with carne asada and grilled vegetables. I used this wine to make my Strawberry Basil Sangria.
- Mendocino Fog Merlot- rich wine with notes of black plums, blackberries, and dark cherries with a hint of a spicy finish.
- Sunset Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon- lush with red fruit notes of cherries, raspberries, and a finish that is reminiscent of coffee grounds.
- Old Red- notes of blackberries, raspberries, plum, leather, fine acidity with a lovely finish.
All of the red wines pair nicely with a variety of red meat: pork, steak, and game meats.
White Wines
- Masquerade Prosecco- sparkling wine from Veneto, Italy. Reminiscent of juicy peaches, crisp yellow apples, and pears. This was absolutely amazing in the Ginger Peach Sangria I made the other night!
- For a Song Chardonnay- citrus and green apple notes pairs perfectly with grilled fish, seafood, and with light summer meals and vinaigrette salads.
- Chateau Julien Chardonnay- notes of ripe pineapple, butterscotch, yellow apples and lemons. It’s also a nice accompaniment to seafood and light summer meals.
The sale ends on the 26th so if you’re in the LA Area make sure you go check it out!!
Cheers and Happy Summer 🙂
