Recently I checked out WP 24 Summer Rooftop Patio Bar, and I had a wonderful time!

Situated on top of the Ritz Carlton at the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, to get to the rooftop bar you are escorted to a secluded elevator that takes you to the 26th floor. Once you step off the elevator, you’re immediately hit with a peaceful and serene feeling as the decor of the restaurant is soft blues with a beautiful pool, and an AMAZING view of DTLA.

During the summer, from June 3rd to September 3rd, WP 24 rooftop bar is open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings, from 6pm to 9 pm; guests of the Ritz Carlton have complimentary access. The views of Downtown LA from the bar and nearby rooftop pool are absolutely breathtaking! The WP 24’s rooftop restaurant and bar is the perfect date night spot – my boyfriend and I really enjoyed dining, and eating, and catching their movie night screening of “Indiana Jones” on the poolside jumbo screen, all while overlooking the Los Angeles skyline. 

What about the food? Here’s the scoop…

Yukon Gold Potato Chips

$7– Togorashi, Toasted Nori, Yuzu, and Sour Cream. These were probably some of the best chips I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy and seasoned, and the sour cream to go along with it was delicious!

I paired my chips with this yummy cocktail, Dragon’s Fire- $16, patron anejo tequila, grapefruit, and jalapeno.

Confit Pork Belly Sliders

$12- Cipollini onions, arugula, and apricot mustard. I’m a sucker for pork belly, and these did not disappoint!! Pork was cooked to perfection, and I loved the sweetness the apricot mustard brought to the party. These are great for sharing, but to be honest I could’ve had all of them to myself. Lol!

Grilled Jidori Chicken

$17- Tandoori spices, cucumber raita, lime pickle, and grilled pita. This was my FAVORITE dish, and if you’ve been following me for a while you can already guess why.. those middle eastern flavors!! I loved how this dish was plated, and the portion size was more than enough for two people. The flavors were on point, and the chicken was moist and so yummy!

House Made Bratwurst

$16- Grilled bread, sage mustard, and a brown butter aioli. This was my boyfriend’s favorite dish. Another dish that was plated beautifully, and the sausage was really good. It had that great sausage “snap”, and was seasoned really well. All the elements on the plate complimented each other, and I liked combining everything into one big bite.

Pina Colada Ice Cream Sandwich

$10- Pineapple sherbert, coconut macaroon, and toasted coconut. I loved everything about this dessert as it took me straight to the Islands! It was so pretty, I almost didn’t want to eat it, but who am I kidding? How could I not?! The pineapple sherbert wasn’t too sweet, and it was amazing with the coconut macaroon. I loved having that toasted coconut on the outside, as it added some much needed crunch.

What I tasted from the farm fresh grill menu at the WP 24 rooftop was delicious! I loved how they used classic summer seasonal ingredients, but what really stood out to me was that it wasn’t your “typical” bar food. Everything was elevated, and the dishes had a fun global twist to them. This makes a great place for date night, or for grabbing some drinks and light food before heading out for a night on the town. And it’s right in the center of LA Live so you’re not too far from all the action.
