A Day at the 626 Night Market: A Few of My Favorite Vendors

626 Night Market x Ev’s Eats!

I finally made my way out to the 626 Night Market! If you guys remember, I posted about one of the vendors Them Balls who launched their meatballs for the first time at the market. I was excited to pay them a visit, and check out the market for itself. I had never seen anything as big as the 626 market before. This year it was held in the Santa Anita Race  Race Park, and it was massive. If I’m not mistaken the 626 night market might just be the biggest outdoor market in the state of California. It’s a food and art lovers dream. With so many vendors to visit and choose from I was in heaven!

I do have to admit that I was a little intimidated by the size at first. I had no idea where to start so my sister and I decided to start at one end until we made our way to the other side. If you don’t have any specific vendors in mind that you want to visit; I suggest tackling the market this way. It just made the whole process more fun and less intimidating. My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. In my mind, I thought I was going to try almost every vendor. I ended up only trying 5, but the ones that I did were DELICIOUS! Check them out below:

Them Balls

My favorite meatballs! We had to get the Fried Chicken N Waffle Balls and the Tot Thot again. I love that the balls tasted just as good as they did in the test kitchen. I hope these guys start a food truck soon. 😛

Squidies LA

The Famous Light-bulb Drink. I admit I only got this because it came in this light bulb (how cool is that), but the two flavors we ordered Mango and Lychee were pretty good. My only conundrum was that I found both drinks to be incredibly sweet for my taste. It was a struggle to finish them, and that’s probably what contributed to me getting full so quickly. Next time I would get the small. Also thought the price was a little steep.. $12 for a large.

Indomie

My beloved Indomie. I think we all got a little too excited when we saw that Indomie was a vendor. The instant noodles are life, and when I saw that it was in burrito form we had to try it. I had previously had an Indomie burrito at Komodo on Pico but it was only on the menu for a limited time; so you can imagine my excitement at getting to try it again. It was delicious, and only $5. Oh and they gave you a bag of Indomie noodles to take home with as well!

Cafe 949

Is there anything better than grilled lobster? Didn’t think so…

Ridges Churro Bar

I finally got to try the infamous ridges churros. They’ve had a craze on social media lately so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to find out what all the buzz was about. I ended up getting the Fruity Pebble Sundae and it took my straight back to my childhood. I felt like I was eating a bowl of fruity pebbles, and I loved it.

I had a lot of fun at the 626 Night Market, and I would definitely go back again. Next time I’d like to take a look at some of the art vendors, and stick around for a concert. If you haven’t been yet you’re in luck! The last weekend is September 2-4th. Tickets are only $3, and I definitely think it’s worth it! If you end up going to the 626 NightMarket be sure to share all your yummy eats with me by tagging me #evseats on Instagram. Oh, and if you guys aren’t following me on Snapchat yet be sure to add me: EvsEats. I snapped the entire time that I was at the market so it’s a good way to see what I’m up to firsthand. Cheers! xx
